There’s this idea that old is synonymous, much of the time, with bad, especially on the human side of things. The cracks and wrinkles and textures left over by the passage of time are hidden, swept under the rug, and covered up at all costs. It really just seems like kind of a given perspective in our society. 

Pooja Pawaskar’s work is all about embracing those effects of time and aging, and embracing imperfection of all kinds. She’s got this beautiful outlook on the world that is so inspiring to be around and I’m so thankful for the time we spent with her creating this work.
